Hi friends,
Im upgrading my car which is a daily driver (hence the DDDIY) (sounds lame I know :P) but im really excited about it. I have a 97 civic in pretty good shape and I have always wanted to make it into something worthwhile. Only recently bought a low-mileage H22a engine which is bone stock. This would be a short project cuz there is no cosmetic change involved. Its just a matter of popping out the old engine and shoving in the new beast. Id like to know your views on the project so far and any other suggestions that you may come up with. Here are some specs of my car:
Honda Civic
Model: 1997
Stock VTI 1.6 liters
Tein coil-over suspension
Cool deep dish 15" alloys with Yokohama 195 55/15 rubber (Now running Lenso Raiden S3 Rims and Bridgstone Adrenaline 205 55/15)
Added a MOMO Drift Steering Wheel and Honda type R Gear Knob
Upgrades:
JDM H22a Honda Prelude engine (rated 200bhp, 163 lb/ft torque)
M2A4 transmission (Now running M2B4 JDM LSD Gearbox for H22a)
Aftermarket chrome 4-2-1 headers (Still running stock headers)
Aftermarket 2.25" downpiping
Jasma approved muffler (Now running DC Sports Muffler)
Fugly Simota high performance air intake (it really is fugly)
Added a Walbro 255lph fuel pump
And thats it Im also looking into brake upgrades soon Inshalla. Wish me luck everyone
