Dear Sir Spano,
My name is Cesar Aboy from Philippines. My car is a Honda Civic 2009 model.
I'm planning to put Steering Wheel Audio Control and Cruise Control on my car. In fact, I've bought the controls from AliExpress already and have it installed. However, I've found out that the pin configuration on it's 20-pin connector is different from the socket on my cable reel.
My initial solution is to de-pin and transfer to the correct slot but after several attempts to de-pin, we could not. I've also consulted some car electricians / technicians to help but to no avail. We've used needles, hair pins, precision screw driver (the one used for fixing eye glasses) but none worked.
Is there a technique in de-pinning this particular connector? I've tried searching the web (YouTube) for answers but could not find one.
I'm also thinking of just buying the pins but I don't know where to purchase.
Attached is the picture of the 20-pin connector of my remote control. As you can see, some ports have big holes already after several tries. I hope it is still not broken.
I would appreciate your reply and help.
Best Regards,
Cesar
