After I got married I never had sub woofer in my car and that was because I need more space in my trunk. But few days back I was listening to radio and some song was being played which I liked and Later I downloaded the song as MP3 and played it. I turned the volume knob clock wise and quickly realised that sub woofer is missing Hmm mm mm mm ye tu masala hogaya I said to my self. I checked Internet and and bought sony xplod base tube BUTThe next day (Friday) when I was going out station with family, I realised that I have sacrificed the trunk space.THISMade me to do this little project to make a fiber glass sub woofer enclosure that will be on left side on the trunk and will occupy less space and more importantly that will occupy the space that is normally left unused.I had previously done the same DIY in my 2005 civic several years ago but I didn't take pictures that time but this time I thought of sharing with my pakwheels fellows.

The first step is to select the area and mask it with tape at least four to six inches beyond the imaginary border of the fiber glass shape.
While masking make sure you do not leave any gap or open spaces
Will post further update in the day

because of my last time experience, I knew that masking is very important. It took me around an hour to do it.
The material for Fiber glass you need, Fiber Glass MATT, Brush, Resin, Cobalt, Harder, Thinner for brush washing
first cut fiber glass mat to small square size according to your desired application area. You will not be able to do that later when you have mixed the resin with harder.
Nice Project ... (Y), do let me know where u ll b sourcing this material. I might be doing something similar up ahead.
this is fiber glass matt that I used. The mixing of resin, cobalt and harder. FOr any quantity of resin, take 6% (+/- 3%) Cobalt and take 0.2% (+/-1%) harder
will continue further posting in the evening. Do ask you queries I will cater them along with my story
place the matt on the desired area carefully, since my project involves a vertical area so Its better to make it from bottom (base)
Nice can you please share the contact information of the fiberglass seller?
you can ask me if you have any query
