So it has been a while since i posted any DIYs due to my uni and insane govt policies and lack of cheap labor like in Pakistan.
There is one thing which always piqued my interest that is the art of drifting weather its on cars bikes or even trikes. And since i had no means of transport inside uni i desperately needed something .
What could be better than Having a small 3 wheel scooter type thing which could drift .Soon i saw these videos on internet and decided to work on my own.
HOW HARD COULD IT BE? (worst mistake)
Its just couple of welds for the frame can easily slap in a 6-10hp engine bike chain and i will be driving it by sunday. And i can get money from uni .
At least thats what i thought
I got the funds approved and uni agreed to pay the required materials and access to welding, milling and lathes machine upon condition that i will make it along with 5-6 other students who wanted to do some thing like this
.
The aim will be to learn how to weld, using milling ,lathes, cutters, do structural analysis and so on.
We saw a couple of pics on the internet and started designing the frame on inventor environment. It was a must to deign it complete to scale since that 3d model was later to be used for structural Analysis.(Uni policy made me do this khuwari but it was worth it).
These 3 pictures and the video were used to get the basic idea of what we required
