Default Project (o\_!_/o)

Finally, I've decided to post details of my 1970, 1500cc, Deluxe Beetle!

First, I want to thank Abbas(devilzpassion) for telling me about the car and helping in the restoration, and Ahsan(mad_racer) for striking the deal for me! *wink*

Oh, and I can't forget Fahad(timelessfahad), who was planning on buying the car but didn't!

Finally, thanks to Asad Bhai who has been helping me by looking over the progress of the car and 'showering' me with his knowledge.

And a special thanks to my friend Kamran, who has been with me through many of the bad moments during the project
------------------------------------------------------------------------

Here are pics of the car when I bought it:

The car's paint was in pretty bad condition. Later we found out that there wasn't much rust and no major body work, which is a relief. The major problem area was the roof, which had rust holes, and it needed some skill to be put back in the correct shape.

The bare metal covered with red oxide to keep away the moisture

The front had to be hammered out a couple of inches 'cos I had hit a Suzuki Carry in the rear! Good thing the Suzuki was overloaded and was carrying clothes which made it a soft impact.

The roof, the rusted area had many holes. Sorry about the pic quality. It was really, really sunny that day and the camera couldn't do any better.
