Nasir bhai,
Great to hear from you once more. I hope you keep posting here and keep providing us with your valuable input. It goes without saying that I am immensely grateful and indebted to you for locating the bits so far for me. I shall pmail you soon to discuss the details too. Who would be carrying the stash to Pakistan?? Would that person have some extra room??? A lot of friends in the USA and a few in Canada have offered me some parts so I was thinking of getting them sent to your address if that suits you at all. @ Razak Syed He sure is!

I am paying for one piece of baggage to be carried (extra) along with the persons own two bags. The airlines charge $120 per extra piece of 23 kg. If you think the parts you wish to have over are worth the expense I could arrange. Meanwhile you are welcome to order parts and have them delivered here at my address. I suggest you keep on the look out for friends and family who would be willing to carry some parts for you.
If someone can find out the latest rules on importing used auto parts we can consider putting together a half container load of decklids, fenders, hoods, rust free doors...guys please stop drooling on your key board...assorted lights and other bits. I can find some trannys and complete engines along with good body shells, clips etc. - basically everything to re-energize the VW scene in Pakistan. Meanwhile I have bought a couple of hundred NOS push rod tube seals (one of the common leakage areas )..these and other bits would be arriving at Romano's in Islamabad by end November. I strongly recommend that you stay in Romano's good books to remain eligible for a notification and shopping rights. Billo goes into hibernation after the Christmas parade and I plan to replace the windscreen and the aluminum / chrome trim (wish me luck) I have bought a NOS windscreen at one of the swap meets and it would be good to have a windscreen without the scratches made by wipers in 50 years. Meanwhile we hear about the depressing news coming from Pakistan and keep praying for the safety of our near and dear ones. TC N. |

........ what ??? I thought this thread would've completed by now and I'd have missed so much of "daily" updates. I have been waiting for over 2-3 months to get a chance to come back to this thread and see the updates .......... and what I find is that Asad is also waiting for someone to update his thread.
Not Good ![]() Whats up? Where's the bug? I'll have to steal it now along with all the manuals that I never got a photocopy of! (regardless of the fact that I haven't paid for the copies). Asad ......... better complete the bro. I'm off for only about 1 week. MSK
