Hello, and Aol, first of all long time no c on the forums
The car is gud since thursday didnt turn off since the new sensor, altho excessive starting has messed up the self, (its sliping probably some gears (garraiyan out of order).
So ure also saying that a partialy working sensor doesnt shows the checklight and keeps disturbing ?
About the Ohms reading i read it on the google forums that a weak crank sensor which isnt completly dead doesnt lights up the check light and turns off the car when the sensors hot and to check it the only way is to check it through the ohm meter. And that a Sensor having 300-350 ohms is bad.
The mechanic told me jst before it shut down the checklight would show up but you must have not noticed it.
While replacing the sensor i checked both the sensors on the Ohm meter both showed above 400+ ohms
the old sensor was checked after the car was parked for more then 15mins and was out of the car for about 10mins, making it a total of 25mins which is sufficient for it to cool down.
But as i mentioned above the workshop (khan motors) mechanic insisted for the scanner to get proper dianosis but my dad refused he also asked Rs800 that was a lil too much. Finaly he said give what ever you want to my dad gave him Rs.200.
The guy said okay sir if the problem is still there you can come any time.
And said if its not the sensor then the timing pulley or some thing is there (i didnt realy get what he said) he said that could also be messed up and that also causes the car to start when it cools down to.
Finaly its a local cng with a advancer attached with the map/maf sensor not on the calm shaft sensor.
As last time when the advancer was attached with the calm shaft sensor it caused a shot circuit in the wirinng causing the calm shaft sensor not to work and excessive missing on Petrol not stable on CNG and checklight presisted.
But this time it was the crank sensor.
