I have APC Matrix UPS 5KVA,configuration is as follows
4 phoenix XP165 batteries (120AH)
Sp Gr between 1240 -1260 in all cells.
Charging cutoff voltage 56 volts (14v each battery)
Low cutoff voltage 42 volts (10.5 volts each battery)
Charging about 10 amps, trickle charge less than 1 amp
Load varies between 300 to 1000 watts
No problem with backup time ( up to 4 to 5 hours tested, never had cutoff due to low battery)
Output voltage 220 volts fixed all the time on battery backup
My question is that my batteries are 6 months old, have electrolyte from the shop (most probably prepared by tap water) although I always top it up with distilled water, i want to replace the electrolyte with pyro one, should i perform the flush or directly replace the electrolyte after draining the old one?
Information for people living outside Islamabad and Lahore, I live in Abbottabad and I acquired deionised water from valley water Islamabad ( which is mentioned in the opening post), just by calling them and transferring money online, they sent me by goods transport company. The same is promised by Pyro chemicals for the electrolyte when I called them, I will let u know when i receive it. They told me that they will send it after eid holidays.
