I have confirmed with a hydrometer that all the cells are giving 1200-1250 gravity and are showing green meaning good health on the hydrometer and I have enough electrolyte from Pyro Chemicals, so I think I'm good to go for this flush, just need to ask a few things:
1) When you say flush it 4-5 times, you mean that I should fill each cell on each battery with tap water and then drain it again and repeat this 4-5 times??? Is there any delay in between each flush or can I do it repeatedly one after another???
2) After the flush I should invert each battery upside down for 30 minutes or is it not required???
3) To what level should I pour the electrolyte, till HIGH level or slightly less???
4) Can I hook up the batteries and charge them with my UPS fully before using any load, or should I ask a battery shop to charge them fully before hooking up to the UPS??? I want to know if it's safe if I charge the batteries myself through the UPS since I'll be performing the whole procedure myself???
5) If I simply drain the old electrolyte and replace it with new electrolyte without doing the flush, would there be any difference in results???
6) Do I really need to flush if my batteries are only 4-5 months old but I'm changing the electrolyte because of reduced backup time???
Thanks in advance for your great input!
