Wiring in an Econ Light in D15B 3 Stage (OBD2a)

Can someone please guide me as to what pin/wire to tap into to wire in an economy mode light?

The ECU in question is a P2J-J61 OBD2a running a D15B 3 Stage engine on a Civic 99 AT.

I have already tapped into A8 (green/yellow) for a VTEC indication light. The only other option that makes sense to me is that of VTM (VTEC pressure switch) at C15. The IAB pin (A26) doesnt seem to be used in a civic. I am using the following pinout diagram.

i read on honda tech that the econ light needs to be wired in to a continuous 12v source (so i wired it on A24) and needs to be grounded at A30. Did that... now my LED has actually become a check light.

Need help correcting it.

you just put an LED test lamp to the A30 circuit - why?? A30 is the A/T selector lock- does your wiring diagram show something else?

yes its silly... but i thought i'd give it a shot. I saw a diagram of a P2J-003 that shows ECONO light at this very position.

I have a P2J-J61. And for the life of me I cant seem to figure out what pins to use.

From what I recall, A8 activates the 16valve mode, and then probably C15 activates wildcam profile.

The econ light is supposed to be grounded into some ecu pin (which sends out a ground signal on lean burn mode). Cant figure out which one it is.

also, my vtec isnt working currently. the led doesnt light up. and i cant feel any difference in engine sound after 5800 RPM.

^^ you must be having an error code - that you need to check, VTEC will not work in any range with any sort of code present.

i agree... there's no MIL indication. a DTC will reveal more.
