    Default 5afe tps adjustment + engine check diagnosis in lahore

    need to know from where i can got my throttle position sensor adjust and engine check light diagnosis.
    problem is that whenever i rev my car at higher rpms car starts missing and check engine light gets on after that whenever i restart the car on idle its normal and again on higher rpm missing plus check engine light...(this particular thing only happens on running car not on revving the car standing still) and one can easily smell rich fuel burning through exhaust.
    i've changed the fuel pump after that car did well for few days but again...

    are you getting a check engine light with the TPS error code?

    Its easy to adjust the 4 wire TPS.. just need a multimeter

    thnx for ur response bro
    i haven't check the code error number till now coz i don't know from where to do that in lahore..
    but I've been searching for the problem's solution and on many sites + pakwheels the reason was TPS and i know that after swap and throttle body service my mechanic did not adjust it he just simply put it back...
    at first i will check the code error but i m sure about TPS that's why asking it...
    i know a very good computerized car's electrician can he solve it or is it for the concern of mechanic. ? i havn't contacted him yet but i think he will be having the device to check the code too...
    i was just having a second opinion..
    BTW could it be the TPS adjustment reason or not?

    The CEL is rising due to wrong fueling for sure.
    It can be O2 sensor.It can be TPS .It can be plugs or plug wires or maybe distributor many possibilities.
    For checking sensors ungrip those 1 by 1 n reset ecu n start the car if ur same situation means tht particular sensor which is disconneced is done.There will be CEL frm the first crank but wht u have to see is ca at high rev.Yet if u can pinout thts the best thing to figure out as u will have error codes on the meter simply.
    For checking distributor,plug wires wtc pop up the hood n listen to the voices.If u can hear any kir kir like sound from distributor the it can be distributor,coil or plug wires.
    Rest if ur not a DIy guy go to Toyota 3S or any intelligant mechanic otherwise

    thnx alot brother.... the only sound coming from the engine of "kir kir" is of injectors. i dont think that ther will be any problem in dist. or wires. but the engine chk lights come only on high rpm and that too in running condition not reving the car in static condition. in static position you can rev car till 7200 but while taking a run it starts jerking at high rpms.
    from where can i get it adjusted the TPS..??? i dont want to go to 3s. and who will set it electrician or mechanic?

    injectors never create any such sounds whether its frm engine head of Cams aka tappets by mechanics.In ur case it looks like faulty distributor or wires n this is a common problem in this generation of engines wth distributor

    the 5AFE is the most innocent of engines with the most basic of ECU's - you obviously have the check light connected and must also have a diagnosis connector in the engine bay too, jump Te1 and E1 in the connector with a pin or something and put the key on ON - dont start the engine, you will see the check light flash the error code, count the flash sequence and post back.

    ok brro will do that tomorrow but engine check light turns on only on high rpm and that too in running condition when i will switch off the car the light will not turn on after that... is it something that the ecu stores the code and tells us when we short the two points coz on only switch there car will perform just as normal.

    yep the ECU will store the code until reset by a battery disconnect, check and post back the sequence of flashes you get, The modern toyota way is

    first set of flashes = 10
    second set = 1

    meaning flash flash flash flash pause flash = 41

    codes are displayed as - shortest to longest and will have gaps in between them.

    regular flashing with no pause = everything normal

    the latest: got new cng kit for my car. now on CNG car is not missing while going on high rpm but engine check light turns on and on petrol it is same as before missing + engine check light...
    i did check that from diagnosis connector but the engine check light keeps on blinking no intervals but it does turn on at high rpm ... what to do now?

    Hello friend, if your car is hesitating and not running properly on petrol while on CNG its running fine, you need to get your fuel injectors serviced.
