Red face Santro Club - Throttle Body Sensor + Check light

    Hi Guys,
    I have Santro club 2005.

Its race is increased in abnormal way and it started showing Check Light (Orange colored) which is showed only when I start the car. But whenever I apply accelerator, Check Light vanishes and again appear if I leave accelerator pedal and stays for some seconds. It appear again and again.

Someone told me, its Throttle Body Sensor which needs to be replaced.

Can anyone tell me if it needs cleaning or some other method to work it out properly?

    Thanks a lot

Diagnose the code from Hyundai 3s. Whatever the code comes up, replace that sensor. Dont go on wild guesses.

He meant Car Battery. Just remove the terminals for 5 mins, then reconnect and see if the problem persists. Removing battery resets ECU, as well as false codes.

@Frarrukhw: I won't do that if I were you. Most probably, the post above yours suggested to disconnect the battery and use some combination of pressing brake peddle, etc, to reset the car's ECU. However, this can not and does not (in most cases) solve the problem in itself. It might make the check engine light go away temporarily, but the problem with your Throttle Position Sensor will be still there. Go with the advice stemming from the scan done by the 3S people.

-Disconecting the battery wont help, as you said the light vanishes after you drive a bit.

-The thing is that your cars throttle body needs cleaning, infact the IAVC valve the sensor init, it needs to be serviced. Your car isnt ideling properly due to carbon deposits in the throttle body, hence increasing the REVs (Rpms) so that the car doesnt turns off.

-Check light is coming on, so that you get it checked and serviced. And that theres a malfunctioning i.e (high revs on ideling)

-Its goes off as you drive because its troubling in the initials revs only, and functions normaly as you drive, so as you accelerate the acceleration is just as much as it should be so it goes off.
Get over the fact that Xli lacks power windows, Its an Xli because it lacks thoose features or else it would be a Gli or an Altis if had all the goodies.

can this throttle be replaced? how much does a new one cost? . Last time Sajjad folks cleaned it but same problem.
Although the battery disconnection works like a charm. This technique worked for my for 3 weeks, an off the record mechanic did this. What are the drawbacks if I keep doing this?
