Default HELP:CIVIC 2006 VTi Heatup for the first time ....what needs to be done now??

Salam and Ramadan mubarak to all pw'ers

today my car got heat up for the first time in 7 years
when I stopped at the signal I saw my cars temperature almost between the Middle mark and H level i.e on the 70percent mark of gauge I quickly tuned off the ac and the temperature started to fall back to normal and I drove back home which was hardly 2kms aways from that point ... upon inspection the water level in the plastic bottler attached with the radiator was full but when I opened the radiator knowing it'd be hot(burnt my hand too but luckily nothing serious) it was full of pressure and steam I ran away leaving the radiator cap open and the water started to erupt like a volcano LOL ...when the radiator cooled down I filled it with water till the top and started the car, in hardly 1 min the water started jumping out of the radiator like almost a foots height from the radiator top and steam was coming along with it if although the temperature was on half.... from last week I'm noticing that the water level is reducing it self and when ever I open the radiator it need atleast 1 glass of water on daily basis although I replaced my head gasket when the mechanic opened the head to fix the valves ( heres a link to that http://www.pakwheels.com/forums/engi...-issue-missing ) but could this be because the gasket not fit properly and has worn out as its been 10days I changed the gasket or is it due to a bad thermostat valve and faulty radiator cap ....PLZ HELP ME OUT guys I had never thought my car would be giving me issues like these and thats all because of the stupid cng guy :@

Gasket could be a reason .. But i think Radiator itself is ok. Does it leaks from anywhere ? If water leaks from the Top while Lid is on it then Change the Lid of Ratiator

I dont think so, just change the radiator cap and get the radiator cleaned by any good radiator wala inshALLAH your problem will be solved and also check the speed of your radiator cooling fan.

what I with my little knowledge think its the thermostat valve thats not opening when the engine requires water had it been gasket issue the water would have been boiling/giving bubbles on throttle but thats not the case ...the water jumps from the radiator on idle (when the radiator cap is removed not when the cap is on) ....radiator is perfectly fine brother no leaks at all ...my car is in pristine condition its the first time Im having such issues with it ...no leaks of any sort no rust water/stains or any thing of that sort

thanks for the support man will check the fan speed tomorrow for sure btw can you tell briefly how changing radiator cap would ensure the car doesnt get overheated...and as for the radiator choking is concerned Im sure radiator is perfectly fine as I last week got engine valves repaired due a blunder made by the cng installation guy and that was the first time original Honda coolant was drained which comes at the time you get the delivery from the showroom ...my car is 46k driven and been with me from day one

Replace or test the old tsat valve for make sure thats the problem. And dont forget that thermostat is present for the best performance of your engine!

Yup the problem is solved as yet Alhumdulillah ...a tstat or a thermostat valves is located in the hose pipe which allows cool water from the radiator to go into the head when it requires cooling and blocks the water when the engine doesnt need cooling mostly during the morning startups ....if thermostat valve is not present in the system it will make the cars temperature reach to its optimal level in more time and it is advisable to replace the valve if it goes bad ...in my case it seems it remained closed and didnt let the water to go to the engine head when it needed cooling ... its not expensive at all
Im surprised as normally the life span of a t-stat is almost same as of the engines life

the previous owner must have removed it just like I did or your mechanic as most of the mechanics here in Pak think they are better than the engineers who design the car and apply their own science

p.s Im in love with your display picture ...can u mail me the complete pic
