    Default Nissan GA15DE Problem

Hello everyone, I swapped a GA15DE in my 1987 Nissan B12 Chassis. It has been over a year now, the engine was running fine without problems until now.

Following are the problems that i am facing:

1: I feel that the engine has lost it's power, what could be the main reason behind that? Could it be a clutch plate issue or an electrical problem ?

2: The gear ratios are short. Is this normal ? I Usually change to the 5th gear somewhere around 80-90 K mph

3: One of the axel has been welded because i could not find an exact fit. What can be done to get rid of the weld? any possible solution?

I would like to ask all experts to give their opinions and help me out. Thanks.

    Your respective answers:
    1. First of all if you are running your vehicle on CNG then do check for spark plugs and ignition coil etc. If they are ok then go for any mechanical check (e.g, tappet adjustment, clutch plate, pressure plate etc.).
    2. If you change your 5th gear at 80-90, then its a good practice...u get fuel economy in early shifts.
    3. Purchase a kabli axle and fit it in because welded one adds risk to ur ride.

I hope this helps u find ur problems and their solutions. If not then wait for more opinions.

Thanks sir, the tappets are not adjustable and the clutch and pressure plate seems to be working fine. I cant find the exact fit of the Kabli axel because the engine has been replaced.

The car has cng installed and the problem persists on both fuels. The wiring was done from Bilal Ganj Lahore last year and has been working flawlessly until now. I bought the engine with it's original gearbox and the clutch plate never slips. I think some sensor is messed up, but which one?

Was the loss in power sudden or you started feeling it over a period of time? What mileage have you clocked on the engine?

The axles should be readily available in Bilal Gunj and even Montgomery road. This engine is not too rare.
Death is not the greatest loss in life. The greatest loss is what dies inside us while we live.

Yes kind of sudden. Dont actually know about the mileage. Been a year now and my daily travelling on an average is around 40-50 Km so you can do the math .. I will get the throttle body serviced and all the sensors checked and clean and then report.
