Thats the opposite of the method that is used to seal piston rings. The proper method is to completely warm up the engine after the first start; the car is then given short bursts of acceleration and deceleration in second gear. The complete method can be found here.
After that, the car is driven through the gears, at varying throttle positions, for the first 5000 km or so. City driving already provides these conditions; M1 and M2 should be avoided.
The car will just start burning oil again, like most (improperly broken in) cars do.
