NOS in Diesel Engine....

hey ...... yesterday on discovery channel they installed NOS in a 1.9 litre diesel engine.....
now dats sumthing i didnt knew b4... ..
car was a 1.9 litre Golf ... n yes it was diesel.... n it was the ordinary NOS kit which u wud install in a petrol engine...
after installin it ... dey draged it wid a 280 BHP Honda NSX.... altough Golf lost it ... but dere was nothing much separating the 2.......

yeh man i also saw it....i think it was DRY NOS KIT..:O...but i was really confuse when i was seeing dat prog .

Hey, I think that would have been a wet kit cuz in a diesel engine , no gas solenoid cud work.

WHich program was it anyway?

yup.. it was a wet nos kit...
the name of that prog is Fifth gear......
n its a really cool program to watch..
infact all the discovery's car related programs r cool.......

plz tell me the timings of that programme and also related programmes....i sumtimes got to see a programme on MTV called" pimp up my ride" any information about that programme...In this programme a modification center called west coast customs modify cars really kool....

Amazing..... I have a Corona with 2C Diesal Engine, Can I fit NOS in my car?

dont fit NOS in a corona.The corona is a heavy car. Since diesels have low-end torque, its best u use a light car if u want a diesel engine. Fit the 2200 3C-TE in an 83, put in NOS in that, and u can beat a modified civic! a 3C-TE in an 86 without NOS can beat a 96 corolla with a 4A-GE Four-Throttle engine, this happened to someone i know in karachi! i have a corona too, in which i have installed a 3C-E, but the car is heavy so the initial pick-up is slow.

3C-TE=2200 cc Turbo EFI
3C-E=2200 cc EFI

both these are extremely efficient engines.
