lol , i seriously exclude mehran from any analysis ,
yes you are right about the consumer behavior over here , its stupid ,
the key element i was trying to focus is:
if you do a critical analysis , of the sales stats.
you will find TOYOTA as the market leader here , in 1300+ cc category.
it is directly in competition with Honda.
honda looses the war in the 1300 cc category.
as more XLI's/ GLI's are sold , as compared to CITY
but
MORE CIVICS are sold , as compared to ALTIS .
now here is the turning point i find ,
the buyers of 1.8 category , prefer CIVIC over Toyota.
so only if this Cruze could get inline with this competition , price wise , it would not be a tough job to get a chunk from the market.
as technically.
we can easily conclude that
buyers of 1.8 category.
are feature hungry --- ( they prefer HONDA)
can afford expensive spare-parts---( HONDA is expensive as compared to toyota)
so Cruze can stand a chance ,only if the right pricing is done.
as 1.8 category buyers seem to care less about economy , maintenance , spare parts.
as presently , the expensive one - HONDA , is winning the 1.8 ground.
this is all i meant , actually.
