Land cruiser is top selling in world, need to acknowledge. In pak, india, guld Arab states and I believe australia, LC is the one anyone like to buy as a leading SUV. It is considered a privilege vehicle across many countries. In Europe, USA, UK choice may be different. It depends on where you are buying and the preference can shift accordingly. Like in gulf very few Range rover you will see but they consider LC as the ultimate choice. People also develop an inclination to buy and stick to it, like corolla in pakistan. Owners of RR are also loyal, chances are son next to father will buy the same :).
West is also making many high end suv's that have low acceptance, American GMC Yukon or Tahoe are not in the top list. Ford expedition has similar specs to LC but few consider it. Your writing hint an inferiority for Pakistanis, its not what west like that we must like. All nations have their choice, If you've worked with british, americans or other nations you must know the strength of Pakistanis.
May be I'll compare RR vs LC and post in a new thread a comparison.
By the way in UK I lived in harrow on the hill, london is beautiful place in many aspects.
