As posted in another thread, but still hav not got any answer.
please help...
A friend of mine is worried for his car.
It is a 2005 Civic oriel P/T.
One day on the highway, the car heated upto 70~80% on the gauge due to malfunction of the thermostat switch.
He got the fan direct and resumed his journey.
He changed the engine oil as a precaution, it came out blackish while driven only some 600km only.
He replaced the switch and while his return journey, the fan again went bad but he picked it right when the heat gauge started to rise.
Now the fan is again made direct,
In curiosity, while taking keen observations about the engine health, he has just noticed that small bubbles appear in the radiator coolant when the engine is started in cold condition.
And then the bubbles keep appearing n collapse after few seconds when the car is at normal temperature.
The oil that he changed after 1st heat up incident has now been driven around 1500km but it is in normal shape.
He wants to know if appearance of the bubbles in radiator coolant (osaka coolant) is normal or indicating some problem?
secondly, was that the bad quality thermostat that he got replaced n gone bad or he needs to get the wiring checked.
The car is maintained by honda,
clocked around 80000km and in a very nice nick.
Due to job schedule, can he risk driving the car on highway again and get it checked by honda after eid vacations????
Thanks :)
