Last year when Lahore was badly flooded i struck my honda city auto in jail road underpass filled as much with water as you can think... Even bad i was going atleast at or above 60km/h and damnn the water hit the car shields very very hardly.... I reduced speed and in the midway I was losing gas or RPM was dropping.. Then i turned off the A/C shifted the car to D1 and though RPM never came up again, I gladly made it to the other way out!! Thank GOD didnt not stuck because even getting out of the car would have been a disaster...
Car's shields around the front tyres came off and i was told it exposed the sensitive wires and ECU or something i dont remeber,
Thus from experience i wouldnt suggest going into too deep of water... i went in because i was coming fast, there wasnt enough light to see the water and no car was ahead of me. Believe me the water from the tyres went up as high as the ceilings because of the immense force. There was a corolla behind me which i guess stalled because just when i came out it literally stopped
