Actually dyl had already changed vendors and reduced quality long ago...
Last proper quality bikes from dyl came in year 2007 after this they were supposed to renew their contract with Yamaha japan which they never did, and finally one by one all of their mutual pacts and agreements have expired after which they have been finally forced to change the brand name...
The panga had started already when the Seth sab, greedy by looking at chondas doing business wanted to add a 70cc bike in the line up... whereas Yamaha japan told him to f-off since below 100cc would be like kids bikes... talk about bigger, not smaller bikes.
Thus even bikes in 2010-11 (maybe 08/09 too) were of compromised quality... vendors had already been changed, quality control issues increased by large..
After this logo change to dyl, nothing much has changed.. mostly all is same.
Factory, plant... workers.
But plz also note that some of the senior company officials have also left dyl after this stupid move of dyl....
Zardari.. Mr.10% also played a role in it, Yamaha japan wanted dyl to show them big money for license renewal... because they wanted business expansion, efi bikes 125 & + cc bikes to be introduced and were really demanding in billions... whereas with zardari in place and non profitable conditions of the business... the whole deal was way too expensive for Seth Sab to afford.
That's the story I have understood so far after talking to several co. Sources
So now Yamaha japan is officially not in Pakistan... now wait, let's see how much time does it take them to set up their plant in Pak and start...
They had started looking for land far ago, even purchased the land far ago before there was news and media discussions and Pama debates...
So Yamaha japan knew what's happening, and Seth Sab also knew his future!
