Like the norms here, people are now start liking Sprinter Standard which has been replaced by Raider - teri yaad aayi tere janay k baad. A product in production, bekar hai, expensive hai, pehlay wala xiada acha tha, in result no value at all. Jaise he production stopped...bohot zabardast cheex thi..bla bla bla, ready to get now on a much higher rates... strange mentality.
Why I am saying this...
Yesterday, (for a helmet search) I was passing through the Akber Street Karachi (main area for motorcycle sale purchasing) on my Sprinter Standard, I was stopped by almost every shopkeeper asking 'Bhai bike sale kerni hai... sale kero ge...haan bhai bike deni hai'. It was getting difficult for me to stay there and I smiled to each saying nahi sir jee...no dear...no brother.
The thing to consider is...
I have been to this street many times before on my Sprinter but no one except few asked the same k bike bachni hai.
On return to home, I visited my mechanic (who is an expert in Suzuki motorcycles and now a dealer too) and narrated him the situation. He also smiled and said to me k 'bhai mera bhi bura haal ker diya hai logon ne her banda Sprinter ka poch raha hai'. He also told me k is waqt Karachi ki market me Sprinter Standard ki demand high hai aur bikes short hein. He even asked me if I am interested in selling. He did say the same thing loag ajeeb hein jub aik bike ana stop ho jati hai tub us ki qadar hoti hai....jis ko bura keh rahay hotay hein usi ki tarefein kerna shoru ho jatay hein.
He recently arranged a bike for his customer, it was 2011 model and sold for around 47K (as per the condition) which was selling in thirties earlier. [I know the increased new Suzuki bikes prices is a factor but the demand graph right now was never there before].
