Ok, I've spent good 5 hours to read almost every thread on pakwheels that has a word for headlight for GS150.
Here are my findings, which may be helpful for someone reading this post to find all possible details in single thread.
For HID or LED, following items are needed.
A headlight lamp with metallic housing with glass whereas GS150 headlight (2007 onwards) uses plastic headlight. May be this is the reason that I'm going to change the headlight now.
There are two options available that I could find for the head lamp:
- Xanadu
- Jialing
- GS500 Head light (perhaps he most expensive and hard to find option)
Once headlight housing is done, then the prices of HID / LED are almost identical.
Since GS150 is using 12V bigger battery therefore no need to change the battery (although changing stock acid battery to dry is better)
Good to have includes a relay and rectifier.
I was able to find a couple of threads where OP were fine with the stock plastic head lights.
All I can now say is, oh boy, this stuff is gonna make me either a electrical engineer and/or the mechanical engineer, lol. I perhaps was better off with my 6 years old corolla
Lets see what I'll manage to do tomorrow
