Volkswagen Festival 25th December 2012 in Karachi.

Salam all Pakwheelers!

Volkswagen Club of Pakistan (Karachi Chapter) invites all to the Volkswagen Festival on 25th December 2012 at National Sailing Center near Boat Basin, Clifton, Karachi.

Volkswagen owners, please have your vehicles ready for the event. Vehicle may be in any condition to be brought to the event. Any model of Volkswagen may participate including New Beetles.

Great chance to meet enthusiasts, owners, mechanics, denters/painters, spare parts dealers on one platform.

Please follow the timings (12pm noon till 5pm) strictly. Early birds get the best parking spots on first come first served basis.

We aim this to be a family event so feel free to bring family and kids along. And please spread the word to anyone whom you think may be interested.

InshAllah this time we shall have a good if not great event.

Please note that this time round we have done our homework well in advance and a lot of effort has gone in planning by the core members of the VWCOP Karachi Chapter team.

The Sailing Club has been officially booked for the event and managing the parking/security etc is planned.

It is going to be a family event so refreshments shall be available along with play area for kids and washroom facilities.

Usman shani, yes Beetle fans without cars are also welcome to attend the gathering. In fact feel free to bring along everyone and anyone interested in VWs.

Unfortunately, Billo would not be with us as she was only on a brief tour of Karachi earlier in November for the VCCCP cross country rally.

Traffic has been slow on this thread somehow. Anyway, the VWCOP Karachi Chapter core team awaits to welcome all Volkswagen enthusiasts tomorrow.

Thanks very much Harris (lazeez) for posting the highlights.

Since Harris has to take an exam tomorrow, he must continue with the pictorial story tomorrow after finishing his paper.

Anyway, we had a very successful gathering today. Special thanks goes to our Core Team members of the VWCOP (Karachi Chapter) namely Faisal Khan, Harris Qayam, Nasir Sabri, Munawar Jafrani Sb and Naseem Mughal Sb who all participated tirelessly to make today's event the success that it was.

Also worth mentioning are the guests who all honored us with their presence, support and encouragement to continue the Karachi Chapter forward. Especial thanks to Mr. Sikandar, a gentleman of 86 years of age, who MashAllah still drives and has the enthusiasm of a 16 year old car fan. He actively participated with his three VWs and showed so much interest and boosted our morale sky high. May Allah bless him with good health and a long life for him to continue showering us with his wisdom.
