I started riding in about 1993, but must tell you that proper riding in 1997. After more than ten years I founded a club with name Lahore Bikers Club (15 Jan 2007) using a well known platform of PakWheels.com. Since then many great bikers have joined me and more are always welcome. Then after about two years it became a national sign and was named as Pakistan Bikers Club.
People ask me, why did you design such a nice but little unique community?Today I want to answer them.Story might be unique to some people and it can also be common to many here.My best friend Mr. Waqas Meer got a bike from his mother in early age. As he was little naughty guy, so my father used to stop me from accompanying him specially when on a bike. Since then a gap started entering between us as a wall, and sill its here because he has left for Malaysia. Now the reason I believe is the perception specially because of his age. But still as the perception is also generated by the youth, I wanted to work on it, so that same thing does not happen again and again. Every father who knows motorcycling currently going on here at our roads forwards the same to his wife and daughters also. Though it is a mode of transportation and enjoyment but at the same time it is negative sign also
If you enjoy riding or use it as a mode of transportation or you do not own a bike or you do not know motorcycling as much others do. You like racing (street racing) or not etc etc. But you think you can add a little to this sector and one of the biggest part of society in any term, you should join us. Due to which whenever we talk about a young bikers we assume him as a biker involved in dangerous stunts or a person who does not care for himself , his family and society. I wanted to change this perception but practically. I wanted them to be a part of a group who is very much careful and only accepts safe biking. So, its all about you and its all about promoting safe biking / riding.
Only by observing safe riding techniques designed by community and its friends we have and will reach all types of places of Pakistan. Then we do and will forward those beauties of earth to other world through own website, our favorite PakWheels.com and all types of Medias available. This way we will help our country in promoting tourism.
There are many things, which can be handled ourselves instead of going to a mechanic and paying him our hard earned money. The experts of community do and will have discussions with general public in Get togethers or by net discussions or e-mails for small issues of their bikes for some techniques for maintenance etc. Alhamdu Lillah we got success in this field also and are proceeding day by day. Moreover, we have tried our best to provide comparison sheets about new bikes with reviews etc. This way we will be able to help buyers to make decisions on facts and practice. We also have plans to join Government institutions like Traffic Police in promoting safe biking. We have designed some brochures / flyers for same purpose. We also have plans to ask other stake holders of society to come up in this regard. I think you want to know that what thing has made us so successful in our activities, whether its local or on highways or we are to build our image as a positive sign. All this was possible because I requested my friends to obey some base rules: BASE RULES Helmet a Must for Rider, Side Mirrors a Must for Bike, No involvement in any activity that can be dangerous to your health, No words against club / community / Founder at any forum.
