Default Pakistan Air Force F-16 Build 1:72

    Salaam ,

It has been a long time since i posted something on Pakwheels related to models.

All of a sudden i was attracted to this beautiful bird called the F-16 , and i decided to make a model of it , and if the model was to built then it had to be done in PAF scheme was no brainier as i always wanted a PAF jet in my model plane collection .

So the plan was set , now the hardest part was to find a model kit of F-16 in 1:72 scale , day and night search finally paid off and i found a hobby shop in Karachi known as Hobby World , i visited the shop and to my surprise he had what i wanted , the purchase of the model was very swift as i dont think twice when i want something badly

A little background about me for those who follow my model build project , i was originally a airplane modeler and then i came into cars models , and i went back to my roots after 8 years of car modeling

So lets get started with the build .

    Enjoy .

The model is made by Hobby Boss , it is a very basic kit in terms of parts and detail , but through my extensive modeling years i have learned that a model can be built as simple or as complicated and detail as possible , it all depends upon the skills of a modeler .

Total number of parts in the kit , very few , it is simple but has the basic details of an F-16 aircraft , the mold has very crisp panel lines .

Dude, that's great. What type of diorama did you construct? Got any pics, or are you going to take really nice photos and post them in your thread later?

Looking forward to seeing the finished F-16 in 1:72 (which will go great with 1:72 airport ground service equipment). Good luck

I am working on a T gauge model railroad diorama but lost inspiration , i do have a couple of pictures of work in progress of these tiny trains smallest in the world from KK Eishindo Japan .

For Airport Diorama i chose the scale of 1:400 as it is the most popular scale for airport models and does not take alot of space , well from space i remember that i always run out of it very quickly so for this reason the Airport model could not see a full fledged permanent setup .

To make this F-16 into PAF scheme i needed the decals , but it could not be found anywhere in Pakistan , then i turned my luck to google and found that there was a company that made PAF decals , went to there Website and found that they were all sold out , then i had only one option left and that was to make decals by myself .

    Salaam ,

You mean the materials for the seat belt and the ejection handle ?

If yes then , for the ejection i made it out of a normal copper wire bend it to my liking and then painted testors enamal yellow .

For the seat belts and made them out of Tamiya tape .

And for the green thing of the left side of the seat , i used a plastic sprue , heated it and stretched it to make it according to scale.
