Default Pakistani makes car that runs on water

Mod Edit: Please note that this is a SCAM. What is being claimed is scientifically IMPOSSIBLE. PAKWHEELS will not be responsible for any loss or fraud.

A Pakistani engineer has built a car that runs on water, a feat that left onlookers astounded.
Engineer Waqar Ahmad drove his car using water as fuel Thursday during a demonstration for parliamentarians, scientists and students, Dawn reported from this Pakistan capital.

He said cars could be driven by a system fuelled by water instead of petrol or CNG.

The onlookers were taken aback when they saw it and a cabinet sub-committee lauded the ‘Water Fuel Kit Project’.

Religious Affairs Minister Syed Khurshid Ahmad Shah, who heads the panel, said the engineer would have their full support.

The media report explained that the water fuelling system is a technology in which ‘hydrogen bonding’ with distilled water produces hydrogen gas to run the car.

Ahmad had earlier told Shah about the unique project and it was taken to the federal cabinet which asked its sub-committee to discuss it.

During the demonstration, Shah himself drove the car.

The minister said that Ahmad would be given complete security and the formula would be kept secure.

Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf and Finance Minister Hafeez Shaikh value the project, he said.

“We own this project and are committed to successfully completing it,” he was quoted as saying.

Isnt this the same thing that happened a few months ago? - so they are actually trying to use Hydrogen fuel cell technology but make the instant hydrogen on board?? The words Pakistan, top secret, and such technology dont usually work out.

Our own "secret" service are jackasses.

    Question Good Job!

Sounds like a job well done. Although it is too early to comment on the technology being used by Mr Ahmed but I think that it is a Hydrogen Fuel Cell onboard as already noted by Xulfiquar. And the big question is where is the hydrogen coming from to fuel the car? Water can be broken up into hydrogen and oxygen but to break it up you need electricity....anyway lets see where it all goes!

I have car that runs on 90% air...(no jokes, I'm serious, it really DOES run on 90% air)

InshAllah , in near future, I will turn it into 100% air driven car...

these hydrogen-powered cars are moving hydrogen bombs in fact
a slightest leak can make the entire city go boom
    very worthy fuel savings indeed

The little electrolysis kit that people are shoving into their cars are just that, they break the water into two elements, the problem is for collecting of the said hydrogen - and storing it, then applying it to be used as fuel. Till now its pretty expensive business to do it safely.

I hope its not one of those soldier invented own helicopter things or the other guy who passed an electrolysis kit as his own idea. The intervention of the "religious affairs" and having absolutely nothing from any education/research/scholastic body is very dodgy to me.

It seems pakistani media is being fooled time and again by so called "inventors" and self proclaimed "record breakers". Media promotes people without doing research at the their end just to become the first to break a news and has made mockery of itself time and again, but no apologies for reporting false news.Examples are shayan aneeq, Shayan Akhtar, the self proclaimed world record holder for Youngest Microsoft professional, who was promoted heavily by fool media later turned out to be a fraud(Shayan Akhtar, Self Proclaimed World Record Holder, Turns out to be a Fraud) and ammar afzal who was even invited on PTV(عمار افضل ØŒ اوکاڑہ کا آئی Ù¹ÛŒ جیÙ*یئس یا پھر ایک جیÙ*یئس فراڈیہ؟ | ITnama - Pakistan's First Urdu Technology Blog).

Any false claim can be busted by experts in no time. But if someone claims of doing any thing, at least there should be someone at govt level, to ascertain the validity of his / her claim.

Agreed but Pakistani media has failed to do basic logical checks and misreported time and again.
