So, freinds, came back from my planned and grand trip of the season. Did a trek from Noori Top to Dowarian and in the way visited Noorilake, Noori water fall, Hanas raj Lake, Dowarian Pass and great Ratti Gali Lake and then trek till the Dowarian to see Neelum river:)
Practical Lesson from the trek:
Whenever you get a defeat , Never lose your heart, sum up your courage, even start from zero and try again?Definitely Success will be on next step and anxiously waiting for you.
Planning Vs Execution: It was forecasted a heavy rain throughout the country on 12 to 14Aug in particular and on next days in general. We have made a plan to Gattian, Noorilake, Hans Raj Lake and RattiGali lake from 12 to 18 Aug. Apart from the Forecast many of our friends warned to postpone the tour, we even consider to postpone it but we have the option of leaves in these days only, so we opted for the tour to face its difficulties. Nature took our step as ?PUNGA WITH NATURE? so, it played its role and consequently a dialogue was held between nature and us and we dropped Gattian and Nature allow us to do the remaining treks with continuous warnings at intervals.Definitely we did this trek in a harsh weather with the help of ALMIGHTY ALLAH.
The turns of trek: Started our journey from 12[SUP]th[/SUP] evening, reached mansehra at right next morning. Rain was just waiting for us in Mansehra. Waited to stop it , took our breakfast there, again waited for the hiace for Naran under the pouring of rain. After taking a short tea break at Paras we reached in the camp city of Naran at about 11:00. Have to arrange porter and jeep for Noori top. We have to struggled a lot to leave Naran before 17:00. We greatly disappointed by the attitude of a local operated group in Naran who have committed with us about porters/jeep before our arrival to Naran. This activity wasted our precious 5/6 hours just for arrangements which were supposed to do before our arrival in Naran. Due to these circumstances we reached at Noori top after sunset. Driver dropped us just at the top and fled away.Rain just started when we reached there and when we succeeded to erect our camps at the top till then we almost were wet but were still happy that we saved our luggage from wetting . We have only urge to sleep rather than any other activity then. Severe rain storm couldn't allow us to sleep at night and till morning not only we were wet but our WHOLE LUGGAGE WAS WET. Due to improper availability of camp site, water happily flowing into the camps. This wasn?t enough when we came to know that our stove was also empty due to some sort of leakage from it. It indicates us that nature was?t happy with us and we have to returned down and postpone or cancel our tour.In previous night when we were erecting our camps a Biker group from Peshwar also joined us at the top and they have the same situation in the morning. They wish to reach sharda but due to uncertainty of the weather they dropped it and returned to Jalkhad and advised us to do the same. We asked them to send some one with a jeep to pick us from the top. A wise man(an old Bakarwals) happened to came across with us and upon its advice we build our mind to descend down. At about 10:00 we packed our luggage in heavy rain, picked it up and started to trek down for jalkhad. Luckily got a jeep after about 4km trek and reached back in jalkhad at about 13:00. Struggled for a room in Jalkhad, sent one of our porter to Naran for gas filling and for some other utensils.
In the afternoon weather shown some friendly indications, we got some food after a quite time and re-think again for the trek. Stay was lovely at Jalkhad in Bismillah Hotel.
Next morning was beautiful, we prepared for the trek again and have to waited again for our Porter who was on a mission to refill the stove from last evening. At last at 12:00 he came and we loaded our luggage in the rented jeep, reached at Nooritop again within two hours and instantly started our trek. Reached near Noori waterfall at about 18:00. In the way bear some chit chat with the nature in form of tiny span of rain. Time was approaching to darkness and we want to see Noori lake. Me along with one team members were opted for the lake and remaining team members decided to establish the camp site and they descent down for the work. We reached to Noori lake within one and a half hour after Sunset in quite darkness. Took some night shots and turned back.
All the night, it rained cat and dog and luckily no damage this time due to past experience. Weather cleared before our packing and we crossed the big stream of Noorilake and tried to cross the great Dowarian Pass at about 14100 feet height. Standing at top of the Dowarian Pass one can see an unknown lake at its left and Hansraj lake at its right towards Ratti gali.It took about one and a halh hour to reach hansraj lake from the top. Due to rain, our porters camped there and we did our lunch of Parathas there. Continued after that and for night camped at barkatia vilaage just under Rattigali lake. We reached there in quite darkness in extreme rain fall.
At night we decided to visit lake right next morning at 05:00 but continuous rainfall again restricted our plan till 07:00. Reached and back within two and a half hour fom the lake and started to descend for Dowarian at 10:00. Reached Dowarian at about 17:00. Reached Muzaffarabad at about midnight and right next morning at about 10:00 reached to HOME SWEET HOME
