The Pakistani awam thinks that AHL is giving us quality products. Infact their quality is so great that they have completely ignored the innovation department for last 50 years or so and yet still they are the biggest name in the 2 wheels department (I don't know if this is some kind of voodoo magic or what). Yes I know that AHL bikes have good paint & chrome quality (probably the best in Pakistan) but in the engine department any bike can compete with AHL or perhaps even surpass it.
For example I have a Chonda Super Power purchased in 2010 and aside from a little rusty the bike has clocked 55k kms and still works perfectly fine.
A Suzuki Sprinter purchased in 2004 which has done 150k kms and the only major work done to the engine is that the rings of the piston are replaced recently and the clutch plates are replaced for the second time. Still gives an average of 55+ and the carburetor has never ever been opened.
A Suzuki GD-110 purchased in 2014. Done 8k kms on it and it still looks brand new. The ride is absolutely amazing as fellow owners have also specified.
So is a Cd70 better than a Chonda 70..? I don't think so....
A Pridor better than a Sprinter..? I don't think so....
A SheGEE better than a GD-110..? I don't think so....
So why would someone buy a decades old AHL product when you can get almost exactly the same thing much cheaper or something that is superior in technology. I don't understand this mindset of Pakistani Awam.
