Bhai,
I have rebuilt Santro Engine from scratch & cost came near 28K in Karachi(including Mechanic's & Electrician's Labor) all was fine after that(only issue was that sometimes car dropped RPM on low speed & at that time "Check engine" light glow up but in 1 or 2 minutes it all disappeared upon restoration of proper RPM but it was not too serious), There was no smoke, no heat up issue, no smell at all
When after completing 1,000 Km drive (drove all the way below 60 Km/H & with just 1 or 2 passengers on petrol without A/c etc. as per advice of concerned Mechanic), i went to same mechanic bcuz he told that he will adjust tappet adjustment + Engine oil change + oil filter + petrol filter + coolant change, he did these work + some Lathe work (he claimed that petrol is mixing somewhere either inside chamber or near Chamber etc.), After that "RPM issue" & "check engine light issue" got resolved but it creates me new issue i.e.after that problem of white smoke re-appears
Now issue is that white smoke is coming but concerned Mechanic is insisting that Engine is ok & old Silencer is the culprit, Silencer is full of old black oil(due to previous Engine issue) so silencer on warming is producing this smoke.(strange thing is that Engine oil is also not decreasing in much quantity if we do comparison with amount of smoke coming from Silencer, also i saw somewhere written in Santro manuals perhaps like that decrease of 500 mL Engine oil out of 3.1 Litre Engine oil after certain mileage is normal & regular so no worries)
But i feel ashamed of this white smoke specially for the bikers coming behined my vehicle.
RPM is stable but White smoke is disturbing me.
Can i use ABRO or STP smoke treatment solution(I think Mechanic used Havoline 10W-40)
I am puzzled why all this happen after just tappet setting? Has mechanic ripped off this way ? or Mechanic is right on replacing the Silencer?
Can anyone guide now where should i take this car to recheck?
