whatever battery brand you select it should be prepared with distilled water and sulphuric acid electrolyte, and not the tap water sewage that battery shops have in their drums - and the charging system should be top notch too, the grounds should be of good contact also, the glow plugs in a diesel suck current and need a good solid ground to the cylinder head to heat up properly.
Dont fall for brand names - you need to fulfill the basic battery operational requirements first, then comment on quality. If your battery failed in 16 months - you need to look at the root of the problem
