did you ever do a proper diagnosis first? connected a scanner any check engine light? you have been replacing junked parts willy nilly and expect it to work? please do a diagnosis from a competent mechanic, check engine timing values, perform a throttle reset and relearn procedure and then proceed further, you'll save money and car will be fixed properly.
oh and FYI automatic gearboxes have no such thing as clutch plates just clutch packs and a torque convertor. its probably not the MAF as the the car runs smooth beyond first gear and at high rpms. A bad MAF will also illuminate the check engine light. but you should check all the Vacuum pipes, mostly such symptoms are when there is a leak in the vacuum system somewhere.
