Delivery time of Honda City and Civic?

having heard that due to the flood in Honda factory Thailand, Honda delivery time is around 3-4 months nowadays? O_O
is that correct?

Secondly, is it wise to wait for the new model civic which is expected to launch here in September 2012 over the existing?

Edit: How would u guys compare Honda city AT and Honda civic AT with Corolla Gli AT, considering corolla if honda delivery time is as said above...

Well i talked to my dealer and he said I'll receive my car in march (start of march because my order is pending from Dec so it will be out in first couple of weeks after production start). And according to him production will start again in end of feb. I asked him about new model and he says it may out in Sep but nothing is confirm, i asked about price of new model he says nothing is confirm...

Then i call factory and confirm that they have resent a latter for me with new delivery data which is end of feb (she says they have resend latter to for all orders which are delay). I didn't receive that latter at home but she said you can pick in from dealer in morning... So looks like production will start in feb.
I asked her about new model i.e. 9th Gen... she said it may come at the end of this year i.e. Nov, Dec BUT nothing is confirm yet.. I asked her about price of new model she says she can't confirm anything just an idea it will be around 3 to 4 Lac increase in current price (according to her).
Model in march will be the same (no change) with 2012 reg.

I was thinking for new model, I asked my dealer for a fair suggestion (get this model in March or wait for new Model) he suggest me not to wait for new model (lady from Atlas also suggest this), receive this model and you will get good resale price of it (if you want)...

So i think i should go for this model

I booked in Sep,, and the lady from Atlis was very sure that I'll receive my car in end of Feb (or in start of March).. I think this is confirmed (so far) that's why they sent a new latter with new delivery date.

I wonder what are they cooking but clearly if they want to deliver by march then Thailand is not an option as they they will have to rebuilt the plant from scratch....

Atlas should start thinking on alternative solutions if they want they want to keep up ...

I called up Atlas Honda and they said your time is Mid march ..... Lets see

I am not sure they can do that model till 9th Gen will be the same... I called Honda Center today and my latter was there i need to pick it, today or tomorrow. The thing is if Thailand plant is rebuilding and will finish in March then why Honda Atlis giving us date in Feb or March with proper authenticated latter.. they can easily put May, June in that latter , So i think Honda Atlis is sure to start productions in end of Feb.

And yes i also asked Honda Atlis lady about new model and she was saying it will be the same shape as it is in USA.

It is mentioned i.e. last week of Feb. Going to pick latter and then will let you know about more detail compensation etc...

Well i have latter and no specific date is mentioned on it. It just have a sentence that production will streamlined in Feb and we will serve your order in Feb 2012.
No specific date as it was in first latter. I asked Honda Center about it and they said sir you will get it in Feb 2012 because your booking is very old and we hope you will get your order as soon as production start (in first couple of days may be)

In any case have to wait till Feb
