I am also going to upgrade my ride from daewoo to Baleno or City 2000 - 2003. The way driving pleasure daewoo is giving is awsome specially for those who enjoyed its drive bearing in mind its minor issues.

This forum will help me to decide either i should go for City or Baleno, the only possitive node for baleno is that i will be able to find a good baleno around 600k having 2004-05 models where as to find a good city 2000-2003 models is really a very difficult job in good price. Before this i had a city 2004 but honestly speaking daewoo drive is much better.

    Best regards,

    city is best.
its efi, powerfull engine and gives excellent milage on cng.
(travelled from multan to lahore. one side cost Rs 1400/-)
suspension is quite stiff but i love it.
excellent grip, less ground clearence but never touched ground or any speedbraker even with three passengers at back.

The best car safety device is a rear-view mirror with a cop in it.

looks like non has driven a proper 96 corrola u will have to get reviews from a proper owner not passer and window lookers.
96 corrola jdm still touches 11 to 12 lack if its in mint and new condition aur log lete hain aur if you wana know wats its worth peshwar and quetta deakh lo they dont let this model go for reasons of durability city is a fragile car its maintenance costs are way high parts are expensive,

Why to compare JDM with PKDM?
Almost everyone in Pakistan is doing corruption to the extent they can. Our leaders are doing at the level they can do. So why should we complain?

If its jdm corolla of 1999 than forget city in every other way. As already mentioned people are demanding 12lakh for a very clean corolla jdm.

a big LOL on those people who say that the maintenance cost of city(2000-2003) is way too much! go check out the market first! i know the cost of the spare parts of both cars since i owned both.moreover corolla drinks more fuel than city! corolla has only got a bigger trunk, more comfort and better resale! in all other respects city takes over the lead!

I had posted a thread on the same topic where we had to choose between corolla XE or City Exis and finally we decided to buy City Exis. City Exis all the way.

if u wanna go for the drive , go for city .. but if u go for low maintenance costs , then corolla is a better option
old hondas show a problem of suspension after 8 or so years ( my dad had a civic exi 2000 and drove it for 10 years , did only 92000km , very well kept car n never given to a driver , but had developed a suspension problem in the last 3 years with us :-( )
corollas usually have a longer life..
