The car goes to mechanics more often! I don't want to go in details have owned a 96 Margalla, 99 baleno as well as a 2005 and a 08 Liana
Best cars 99 Baleno and 97 Margalla worst cars Baleno and Liana.
-Too many mechanic visits, Lets start with Baleno
-the car has suspension noises from day one, after 1 month Suzuki margalla motors agreed to fix it making noise on the right side.
-Electrical issues are a zillion
-Suspension arms fail very easily and need to be changes completly
-Spares of this car are extremly expensive (taking about genuine stuff) since you mentioned breaks Corollas OEM Toyota packing break pads cost 2400-2800 Balenos cost 4500
The spark plug coil in a Corolla that uses 4 costs around 2500-3500, Balenos cost 900 for wire and 7k for Coil (2 coils and 2 wires = 16000 for the pair (mostly the set needs changing altogether changed thrice in the ownership of 5 years) Corolla / Vitz driven above 190,000 orignal sets good to go
Suzuki Pakistan stoped supporting parts for Baleno, Atleast they did not in 2008, had to source centre (Gatri) from sheirshah.
Suspension arms cost 18k for a pair had to change one every year, Yes our cars driven on very very rough terrain, Corolla/Vitz are being driven on the same terrain, Not a single issue alhamdulillah.
Water body died, Engine gasket killed the engine head had to replace that just because of a burnt fuse that didnt make the fan work. Baleno has an almunium head (probably the most expencive in any car in Balenos range).
Yes didnt face any power window issues,
Liana, FF CNG,,
The car drinks water, (no water in the radiator at 1500kms)
The car misfires
The car doesnt starts (under 2500 kms running)
The car has zero pick up
2nd gear has isssues (Suzuki Pakistan sorted it out later)
Engine head issue (Solved after UVRV LIANA)
They force fully killed Suzuki Pakistans sedan model by doing all nonsense crap they could do with Baleno and Liana.
With Swift they are somehow maintaining it or either the people owning it are blind to realize Liana is equally good as Swift is. (specially petrol models)
We sold the Liana in less then six months because had a wonderfull experience with Baleno and Liana started being worse in the first 15 days. So no Suzukis for me and my father with a very tight schedule new car means no mechanical visits for us for atleast 3 years,
We cannot afford visiting mechanics so often.
PS : Im not making up anything, Ive had bad bad experiences with Baleno and Liana earlier balenos were good cars, i.e the 99 one, We bought one in 99 and sold it in 2010. The car didnt give as many issues in 10 years then the Liana in 6 months and the 05 Baleno in 5 years.
Maybe most of the issues i faced were because of CNG thats why i emphasized to keep away from CNG models and buy the petrol only and petrol driven cars.
OTher then that Baleno is a very nice car, Probably the best at handling, Cornering, Road grip after Civic or maybe with Civic because of the independent rear suspension and low height and the engine is very powerfull too (our 2005 drove 167000 km when sold) But thoose were the worst 167000 kms honestly. after that CNG and Suzuki are out of my garage for good.
