Default My new ride [Vitz 2006, Fresh import]

    Asalam-o-Alikum warahmatullah,

I was planning to upgrate my Cultus Vxli 2008 for last three months. There was a big tie between Toyota vitz and Suzuki Swift. Both rides are awesome, but I had to pick one. So, in the end I picked Toyota Vitz. The main reason to pick it was the lack of auto transmission in Suzuki Swift.

Second tie was in between 1.3L and 1.0L versions. Though 1.0 is the best if one wants to save fuel and taxes but I required power too. So I opted for 1.3 version.

I will use this thread to keep you all updated about the ride inshAllah.

    Walikum Asalam.

The first mileage was almost 16 Km/L. The second was only 11.6 Km/L as unfortunately technicians at Toyota took some of the fuel (I dont know how much) to clean gear oil bottom lid. Afterwards three times it stick around 14.3 Km/L and the last refill was almost 16 Km/L when I changed to Caltex.

All the mileages were taken after engine oil, gear oil and coolent change.

Complete ride is stock and there is not change under the hood. The tires and rims are also the stock ones.

Can I ask what's going on in your mind?

oooops. Sorry. Yes you are right LoL

@Mortal. Bro the mileage was 31000 Kilometers on the odometer. Upon verification I came to know that actually it was 71000 Kms.

So the actual mileage of the ride from japan was 71000 Kms.

It is written on the auction report. Auction report tells each and everything about the car. Always check auction report before buying JDM. These reports are in Japanease, so, you can get it to some translator. Check this converted report in English.

My new ride Vitz 2006 Fresh import -390265

You can see that gunuine mileage at the time of auction is give on top left. The report provides each and every thing about the vehicle, even, if it's repainted from some point or not.

glad to know you are enjoying your ride and taking good care of it.

Since petrol prices are more raised i have started driving my car more slow. Using 4th gear from 45km/h and Alhumdolilah getting 20km/l

    Car: Yaris 99 M/T
Tires: Yokoama 14inch 185/70 OEM wheels
Pump: Total, got worst mileage from PSO
Honda Civic 96 EK Hatch / Honda Integra 92 DA Coupe

Nice mashAllah. Yes the petrol prices are touching great heights and aiming for higher altitudes. I am thinking to bring down my bicycle from roof. It is there for almost seven years now. I have already stopped taking out my ride for market purposes. For the area of two to three kilometers I always prefer walk.

Wow. GREAT MILEAGE. hmmm I will try it too. I normally keep my ride under 85 Km/h. Keeping at 45 km/h on empty road is a bit tough thingi for me

Yes most of the PSO are bad except few. I have never tried total yet No total pump in my close vicinity.

Best of luck with you ride bro,

exactly i am planning the same. Unfortunately distances here in my area are no less than 5km so using a bicycle would be little hard for me(i am a swimmer and have hectic schedule of uni-6 days a week). I was planning to check qingqi new launch of electric scooters.

I remember when i had 05 vitz whenever i wanted to shift early i used to lift my foot and then gently press the peddle again.
If your tires are in good nick and you travel in city i would say remove the jack and spare wheel weight reduction = better mileage

Qingqi electric scooter? ahan. Looking something interesting.

Oh yes my ride do the same. Just lift the foot and gently press again. This changes the gear. you are absolutely right.

You are right about the removal of extra tire. The question is: How much difference would it make? A very very very marginal difference would make no impact overall. My total drive is 100 Kms a week. Marginal differences do not make much difference. Have you tried it? How much difference you have attained?

    regards,
If you want a fair idea of the nearest correct mileage of your JDM check the export certificate. At the bottom is the mileage given as the shakken test is done every two years after 2005 in Japan for all vehicles. So the export certificate has these details.
