Feedback on stock multimedia unit
Well nothing extra-ordinary. about it, but it produces just acceptable sound quality. I attached an Ipod nano with it and it gave pretty nice output in both lows and highs.
Touch is not as great as my Blackberry Playbook. Phone paired well via bluetooth and could take calls handsfree way very easily. I also streamed music from my cellphone.
The unit is placed just close to steering and within an easy reach. I have not felt the need to use it's remote control and give it to back benchers to play whatever they like.
The display is also just acceptable. I am not fond of playing videos inside a car, but son complained that it is not playing his videos and gives unsupported format message.
It has a built up navigation unit, but you have to buy a microsd cards loaded with original Sygic 3D maps for Pakistan at a prohibitive cost of 16,000 rupees. Too ban on part of TPL for selling these maps at an exorbitant price of almost 160 dollars.
The reverse camera engages pretty fast and gives a clear wide angle rear view in daylight, but lot of grain and noise at night time.
Over all it is just fine. I have a woofer and and an amp lying at house, but think that I might live with this multimedia unit.
