Precut sizes are very difficult to come by.
Strictly speaking of uncut logs, this September I procured several lots in Karachi @ Rs 7,500 per cu ft. Apparently the rates now are circa Rs 9,500 per cu ft.
This time last year the rate was Rs 6,000 per cu ft.
My research led me to believe that only sawing grade 7 and 8 were imported as lots. But since these lots are mixed, you do get the odd higher grade logs.
Considering that I was told minimum wastage of 17% from a log when sawing to get pre cut size, plus the fact that cut wood is well seasoned at the very least and rarity. I'd estimate anywhere upwards of Rs12,000 per cu ft for cut Burma Teak.
