Abid UPS has 3 switches for 3 step or more charging.
I upgraded it to 1000 watts UPS which is actually 1200 watts. He tells 1000 so customer doesnt put too its max and UPS will be fine for longer time.
His many step charging starts from 23 amps and then decreasing AS THE battery needs. If battery needs 1 amp charging. Ups will decrease it to 1 amp and charge it.
Then he has a switch inside to charge that battery safely even faster.
Whhich after switching to fast charging. Ups starts charging amp from 34 amperes and decreases as battery needs. If battery doesnt need 34 amp. Ups won't shock charge it with 34 amps.
So at the end of the day. Ups never overcharges the battery. Mean no water refilling every week or month.
Why i needed fast switch. Because our electricity goes almost every hour regularly. And sometimes for two-three hours no electricity. And then comes for one hour and UPS cannot charge battery enough in one hour at 24 amps for next two hours load shedding so i switched it to fast charging after consulting him and telling him my minimum load of 3 ceiling fans at least. So the complex the circuit, the better efficiency it has.
You can easily understand why i dont need to buy fast charging device which is not even complex enough to sense how much battery needs when it needs the least.
