Lancer needs ur help

Dear Experts . Firstly I'd like to say Thumbs Up to all you guyz , ur doing a great job and make us proud ......
I have a Mit Lancer 1995 (135000km) recently Installed Cng (GasPetro)kit . Everything is in awesome
condition . (runs like mad) on petrol offcource . I wanna know which engine oil to use ?? and what kind of spark plugs to put . (n where to get it in Isb) . I have been using normal shell oil (sumtimes shell CNG oil ) in it and simple toyota sparks . Plz also let me know if there's any simple modification that can improve performace . I dont race very often so I'm looking for a comfortable ride then anything else .

how much mileage is there on the odometer?
safe bet would be to use Caltex Havoline
Is it an EFI or carby 4G13 engine?
u can use bosch 4 tip FR-78X plugs, it will help in CNG performance for sure.

Thankx "spectra" . Well as I said odometer says 135000kms and its a simple 1.3 carby engine in mint condition . It took alot of pain 2 install CNG in such a nice car but 10,000RS per month was killing me .

U should use Caltex Havoline as using a synthetic oil at such mileage can have adverse affects.
For plugs, use anything but splitfire, they are a disaster on CNG.

also could u tell me where to buy the pluggs from and the "cost" so that he does'nt screw me over ?

u can get them from saddar, do keep in mind the size of plugs. i dont know if this lancer uses 21 or 16 size, coz FR-78X are a6 size. u might need athe other variant with 21 size.
cost is 1000 Rs. for 4

the other bosch plug variant is WR -78 that has 21 size head

u can get it for 950 as well at some shops in karachi company

most brand name oil products are not very different from each other. you can also consider using synthetic oil but keep in mind the cost involved.

in my opinion, you can get better performance by simply doing a basic tune-up (plugs, plug wires, distributor & rotor, higher gauge grounding kit). get regular plugs and dont get platinum or sh*t like that cuz u dont need it.

also consider getting a new air filter (u should have it changed at 12000KM anyway plus a new fuel filter)

people here will tell you go get platinum cuz it sounds cool. technically...platinum tipped plugs are useless you have a high performance engine.

stick to W16Ex-U Toyota Genuine Denso Japan or if you wan't some extra.......get some 4 tip Plugs...with paltinum tip....
Bosch +4 are reliable and good

Thankx a million guyz ...... This community is a life saver coz if you take these problems to a (Mistry) they only do one thing waste your time and choooooona chooooona and ur still not satisfied , this way atleast you know what has to be done so makes it easier
