On a similar note, have a nice clean '95 SWB with a 4M40 thats going through about a liter of 20W-50 on a one way LHR-ISB motorway run ... diesel pump has been checked and reworked (rex diesel in lahore), main seal was leaking so got that done too ..
The options are:
Overhaul it, no thanks
Put another 4M40, but where is the fun in that
Swap in a 4M41 with variable geometry turbo (200 PS) (but diesel is expensive these days)
Throw in a 6G72 or even better an MVEC 6G74
The 4M41 should be a straight forward swap (theoretically atleast) as the engine block is the same (assuming we can find a newish 2009+ 4M41)
My question is:
Would a 6G72/6G74 fit on the same mountings or will it need cut/weld (not keen on that)!
Any other recommendations? I really want to stick it to the 1KZ'walas in the club.
