Had a Potohar, Still have one. Had a Long Chassis Suzuki, Japanese model.
Good vehicles. But, the 1000 cc engine is very weak. When climbing uphill with some pay load, it is difficult to keep going in the low-end range.
You have to rev high, which is not a good option, when considering tricky, slippery steep inclines.
I had many bad experiences with the Long Chassis Suzuki, and some with the new Potohar that I am driving these days.
The suspension on the small vehicles easily and quickly reach their limits, and the ride is uncomfortable. Both were petrol versions, and needed more frequent refuelling as compared to Diesel vehicles.
Side-to-side tossing is significant in Potohar, suzuki SJ410, and even in Jimny.
Modification: A good turbo-charged diesel engine swap.
