Subhan Allah Brother, you have left me speechless. I am an itch for road trips and have done many by car all my life and have never done one on bike since I lived abroad most of my life and where I lived bikes were limited to two or three months of summer use. Now that I am in Pakistan for the past two years I have traveled pretty much most of Pakistan from North to South and from East coast to the Western tips with some exceptions which I wish to make up sometime in the future God willing.
I have been viewing pakwheels over the past one year and have been intrigued by motorcycle trips to the North and have noticed that many have used either Honda 125 or Suzuki 150. I had never driven a motorcycle let alone sat on one more than 4 or 5 times in my entire life. Nevertheless I was moved in purchasing one and after much research I settled for a Suzuki 150 which I purchased in October and only after purchasing I began to learn how to ride it. I live in Karachi and now drive daily and have parked my car permanently while using it occasionally to keep the engine if working condition.
Its now 1:20 am and I began reading your post shortly after midnight and although I have to go to work in the morning I was so impressed and actually astonished by your post and pics that I simply could not log off and knew that I had to respond to your post.
I have no children so its just my wife and I and I have been thinking of traveling from Karachi to Kaghan on the bike but the entire trip there and back I wish to do on the bike. I plan to make it a three week trip while stopping along the way as many places as needed. Beginning from Karachi I have relatives in Hyderabad but then onward I will need to find places to stay that are economical until I reach Isbd. And then onward to Kaghan Naran valley.
Since you are probably much more familiar with these areas as well as others reading this post, I would appreciate any advice all can provide me with. I plan on doing the trip in the month of May when the weather gets warmer and the crowds have not as yet packed in the Kaghan valley so I can enjoy the tour entirely without rush.
Would appreciate any and all advice from fellow riders.
God Bless you all.
Regards,
Sulaiman Zaffar
