Please dont post such type of threads. i feel shamefull when i see those beautifull brands launching in india at such low price and not in pakistan just because of our Higher management.
BTW those brands would love to launch themselves in pakistan because they know that car buying power is more in pakistan then india.

why to be ashamed guys think about it we are rich people in country because we buy civic at 18 lac and they buy at 2 or 3 lac
it mean they get more profit from us.....if we live in abroad then we will buy rose instead of civic ....am i right?

the thing that matters more than buying power is number of buyers and there are hell lot more buyers in india than pakistan thats the biggest reason.

lol. Correction-front power windows. I checked the brochure and the typo is mine. Rear power windows will probably be part of the option pack. Thanks for pointing it out.

Also, forgive the crappy interior pics. I tried but the lighting went against me. You can see the power window switches on the front passenger side door in one of the pics. Thankfully, Ford is offering a black dashboard console and plans to offer more color choices as the model goes along instead of this dreadful color in the display car. Phew!.

re: pricing, when i was out earlier tonite i was told that there was an excise tax hike on large cars/SUVs and MUV's in the 2010 Union budget but no one was sure about the 1200cc and under category that enjoys tax breaks. So, if there is a tax hike in this category expect the price to be higher by about 2% which is approx.RS12,000.00 max. Also, since Ford cars are made in Chennai expect prices to be lower here than the rest of the country. For eg., transport costs and interstate taxes will push the price of the featured top of the line model ZXi-Titanium by approx. RS25-30,000.00 in Delhi over the Chennai retail price. Still, if you factor in all these extra charges the Figo is a bargain basement buy for the equipment on offer.

Absolutely. Forget the equipment and let's talk about the engine. It's one of the best Duratorq mills from the Ford stable and any aftermarket tuner will make it rip with very little effort. A white Figo with some neat alloys and 50% tint and one is good to go for very little money spent. And , one year later expect to find an used Figo for much less as quite a few folks here keep changing cars every year(for various reasons) in all categories.

Well, this launch is significant for FoMoCo as it aims to become a volume player in the Indian auto market. Other than that factor, this is an economy car aimed at the average middle income buyer and nothing more. Coming in June is the 2010 Ford Focus to these shores which will push the notch up a bit for the new Swift. This market is only getting more interesting but complicated for new car buyers as new car models with enticing offers crop up at every turn!. A few images of Figos with nice wheels which can make all the difference. cya

it resembles alot to the Suzuki kei, and i thot u meant the price is high, coz if u convert in to Pak rupees it goes upto 9 lacks with taxes, registration and stuff
