GM owns Daewoo (now chevorlet) cars production in Korea ( Daewoo Bus production is owned by some other company). Now designing of most of the GM cars is also done by GM-Daewoo in Korea.

Kia and Hyundai being korean doesnt means they are part of the GM, The Chevrolet cars by Nexus Autos are the investment which was made earlier, Which is almost dead as of now, Lets see where does it goes, What new things can we see.

Frequent shape/Model changes dont work in Pakistan, People just started liking the localy produced 1000cc Joy, And The all new imported Spark was brought in with accelerated prices (due to duties increase). Due to frequent shape/Technology change the car lost its resale value for which it isnt doing any good in Pakistan, As for Optra and Aveo they were only sold a hand full of cars, Chevrolet Cruze was too pricy for Civic and Corolla.
Get over the fact that Xli lacks power windows, Its an Xli because it lacks thoose features or else it would be a Gli or an Altis if had all the goodies.

Pakistani car market is worked by the local "used car salesman" and the ustaads who our locals look up to, combine that with some added issues or "brand loyalty" and you have a problem.brand loyalty to such an extent that if you collect dog poo in a bag, mark it as "made in Japan" - it will be sold. - even faster if you apply a toyota, honda or suzuki badge on it.As a collective we cannot accept change, for us everything new is "vilayati" and expensive too - look at the fate of cat converters in cars - they are the first to get ditched, and no-one can provide good backing to why is it ditched.

True, That is why the first question on euroII Suzukis i raised was i know several people who have removed CAT convertors from Civic and Altises, Whoose going to check if Mehrans even have them? Probably mechanics are going to change the Efi mehrans back to carby, and owners would be happy about it.

Yes, Our nation is i dont know why against the change factor,

PS: I went to book a chevy joy but they didnt give me the color i wanted to ended up for a used Vitz, being brand consious , Or else i had to settle with Cultus, for me more value in less money works, but there should be service backup along it, Till then it works great for me.
