    Default Auto and Auto Parts Pakistan 2005 kicks off

    KARACHI: The three-day international exhibition of tools and machines the Auto and Auto Parts Pakistan 2005 kicked off on Wednesday at Expo Center. Former President of Karachi Chamber of Commerce and Industry Khalid Feroz was the chief guest.

    Addressing the exhibition’s inaugural session, Khalid Feroz said that the exhibition of industrial machineries, auto parts, automobiles, and metallurgy products would help enhance capabilities and improve foreign trade.

    He said the introduction of advance technology and machinery in the industries was the only solution for meeting the challenges of international market.

    He said that latest machineries were needed in the textile, leather, paint, printing and automobile industries to save processing time, expand production and reduce the cost of production.

    Chairman and Managing Director of Pegasus Consultancy, Asim A Siddiqi in his welcome address said the exhibition introduces advancement in technology for the industries.

    He said that Pakistan has recently seen an astounding growth in the auto and machine tool sector and the auto sector registered a growth of over 30 per cent revealing Pakistan’s potential for investment in 2005.

    He said the Pegasus Consultancy is keen to establish Pakistan’s image as an emerging market and bring international market come closer to the doorstep of local entrepreneurs.

    Pegasus organised the exhibition collaboration with its international partners the Singapore’s Chan Chao International and Hong Kong’s Conference and Exhibition Management Services.

    More than 60 leading international manufactures of automobiles, automation and metallurgy products, spares and tools as well as robotics are taking part in the exhibition including 40 exhibitors representing France, Germany, India, Japan, China, Singapore, Turkey, Ukraine and USA.

    Board of Investment, besides, various local and foreign trade and professional associations will support the exhibition.

    The exhibition has a website www.autopakistan.com, but they haven't given any list of exhibitors there. Hopefully they will post this info and pictures of the exhibition soon.

    KARACHI: The Auto and Auto parts Pakistan exhibition of spare parts, machine tools and automation industries saw exhibitors signing contracts on the second day of the show at Karachi Expo Centre on Thursday.

    The exhibition features technological marvels of sixty leading companies from eleven countries, including China, France, Germany, India, Japan, Singapore, Switzerland, Turkey, Ukraine and USA.

    In addition to the attendance of top decision-makers representing local engineering and automobile related industries from Lahore, Sialkot, Gujranwala and Faislabad, the exhibition has successfully attracted the attention of international tradesmen and diplomats.

    Foreign trade missions and commercial counsellors of various countries including Italy, Qatar, Bahrain, Poland, Russian federation, Ukraine, Germany, Saudi Arabia and UAE visited the exhibition during its first and second day.

    One of the significant trade deals that came under negotiation during the second day of the show was between a South African delegation and an automobile manufacturing company of Pakistan. The negotiation mainly encompassed exports of tractors from Pakistan to South Africa while separate deals on exports of trucks and motorcycles manufactured in Pakistan may also be expected.

    Several other contracts and joint venture MoU’s are already under negotiation at the exhibition, which will conclude on Saturday.

    According to the organizers, Pegasus Constancy, the show is expected to draw more than 15000 qualified trade visitors and top decision makers from Pakistan and neighbouring countries.

    EXPO ENDS.
    KARACHI: Pakistan’s first international exhibition on machine tools and automation industry, co-locating auto & auto parts industry exhibition concluded on Saturday at Expo center Karachi.

    The four-day co-located exhibition Machine Tools & Automation Pakistan (MTAP) and Auto & Auto Parts Pakistan (AAPP) 2005 was inaugurated by Ex-president KCCI, Khalid Firoz on Wednesday at Karachi Expo center, which was organized by trade event organizers Pegasus Consultancy.

    During the four days exhibitors signed several trade contracts and various technology transfer deals while number of negotiation between local businessmen and the foreign participants were under way. Exhibitors from Pakistan were particularly satisfied with their participation at the exhibition.

    The international participants have also expressed deep satisfaction over their participation at MTAP & AAPP, as a positive sign of profitable meetings and networking with a large number of highly targeted audiences and potential trade partners from local markets in Pakistan.

    A large number of local and foreign participants have already confirmed their participation in the next exhibition, which has been scheduled in the first week of December 2006 and will feature an even larger array of automobiles, auto parts, machinery and engineering goods.
