Bro bigger tb or increased air pressure on low revs, silences the engine sound and makes it more responsive on lower revs. I've not seen any disadvantages. My friends running 1.8 setups on hondas and Suzukis with tb diameter of 70mm while their stock tb is 36mm.
So they are running from like 2-3 years. So it doesn't has any sort of disadvantage. Only disadvantage for those people who prefer economy arises. That at higher revs when you're revving the car and exceeding 120-130 it's gonna eat gasoline. As more air, more fuel.
