Drop the bricks. Use hollow-concrete blocks for outer. Use thin jumbolon/or thicker thermopore for insulation after that, and then use hollow-fibre bedding layers on those (prevents air convection currents - govt subsidised new programme in western countries to reduce energy usage), then build an inner wall of either single brick or wood (treated plywood etc) - wood is the best thermal insulator, and you won't have to worry about the messy brick work (reduces construction time also). And of course, use false ceilings!
Discuss this with your architect, do your own research too. Do tell what your architect said about my ideas.
edit: make sure to use good electrical wiring + safety installation (fuses and breakers) + fire alarms (they dont cost more than 5-10k, I have 3 in my home)
