Default Are there any culinary arts/cooking institute in pakistan?

    Hey all.
I wanted to know if there are any cooking institute in pakistan..
I'm not talking about those idiotic cooking classes i'm talking about the ones to be a proffessional chef the ones the land you to a registered kitchen.

I heard about pithm but it's mostly for hotel management..
So do you know about any other?

and yeah please stay away from this thread if you can't help..

I would suggest you check out the CIA in the States , that is the Culinary Institute of America.

IMI in Switzerland , they have both hotel management and culinary courses.

If you're looking to be a chef then don't even think of finding an "institute" over here , it would be better to try and get an internship in a hotel's kitchen but eventually you should definitely go to Europe or the States for more formal training.

I can say this as i am pursuing a career in the hospitality industry myself. Btw , do be prepared to work long hours on your feet. The kitchen is a grueling environment , be sure you are dedicated to this field 100% or you will not succeed.

Btw if you are thinking of becoming a chef do you mind me asking how you got interested in this field? Very few people in Pakistan see it as a good career. Hats off to you though! I am planning on going to culinary school after i complete my Bachelor's in hotel management.Been interested in food since i was 15.

Forgot to mention , there is also Le Cordon Bleu. They have schools in England (London to be specific), France , Australia , US , Canada.
