    Exclamation Job in Gulf country

Can anyone please let me know that how can I find a suitable job in United Arab Emirates, Oman, Bahrain, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and Kuwait ?

1.What if I visit one of these places and search for a Job there ? Is it a good option or waste of money ?

2.If I buy Azad Visa and find work there ?

Kindly let me know all the possibilities of getting a job as I am a Newbie in this thing.

    Exclamation

let me add bit more to khan saheb & istafa

GCC ( UAE, Oman, Qatar, Bahrain) & KSA is region growing prospering on blood of expatriates.

Fresh Hiring is based on Top merit at minimum of wages, for age group 23 plus once on job it is a unchained slavery. Remember there are no human rights, there are laws written but only on papers, the ground application is 'occasional' and if employer is found guilty the only penalty is 'CHALLAN' need to do is pay a 'FINE'. 3 months later the employee because of whom the FINE came on record is dismissed.

Whole region sucks youth & blood of individuals 55+ they are sent back home, employers cannot extend the employment contract of people in age bracket 55 & above, by all means the expatriate has to Leave. Unless he is a share holder director in the company, not a salary drawing director

on globe the GCC & KSA is the only region which does not allow foreigner to become a citizen. no matter how long how much he time he has worked honestly like a law abiding person better then a local born.

Trust me putting all the hard work & effort with dedication & honesty at home will reap better fruits then being in GCC.

thats my dime worth assessment of the region since past 32 years of visiting working there

And no, uae locals don't hate Pakistanis

Very credible answer indeed, thankyou. Seems like the Top policy is to make UAE Cosmopolitan. Guys, don't you think that it is good for OP to have initially some kind of Experience but with some lesser ties, that could be negotiable with his employers. I mean a year or so, and to get familiar with this country. Its same like some businesses have to bear the losses during initial start-up.
But living with 5/6 people in the same room is so overcrowded, cannot imagine such humiliation. And not safe incase of fire etc. What about the property market, has it recovered from the crash yet?

Do you think that this LEG PULLING only exists in Pakistan ... My Dear it exists every where and trust me ..

And another Cruel truth is that We Pakistanis pull each other legs in Offices .. EVERY WHERE in the world

Trust me i am talking with Exerience Since i have worked in US-UK and now UAE and i have only faced leg pulling for fellow Pakistanis ... the thing is that as my father explains " they take your Profit as there own loss " and try to pull you down no matter what.

And to get a job in Oil & gas sector you need loads of experience be patient and try some Korean or Chinese companies .. especially in UAE ... there are many prospects nowadays and you never know ur luck might with you

He should proceed his career with a proper field in relation to his academics to gain some experience; but the point is he'll not easily find an 'acceptable' offering in uae as is now. (I'm no one to say that he'll not find one, but chances seem low)
Secondly, as you're saying to spend year or so and then expect something very rewarding afterwards will 'not' be correct thing to say. Reason; it is quite difficult in gulf to switch jobs or to grow further in your carrier very soon.. people literally work for years n years on same salary & job-description in gulf.
He should proceed his career in PK and wait for right time n opportunity!

    Property question will go off the topic;
for Dubai, property market is getting stable these days, yet supply of new construction projects is still filling more than overall required demand at the moment. As per reports, equation is expected to match after 2015-16.

    @ waqar_uae
hello brother i was going through this discussion and let me tell you one thing for sure you, will not get a job in any GCC country by applying on line for any job. first of all the best way to get a job there is by your physical presence there, why iam saying this, is that i have applied for numerous openings in uae and qatar as well but no response but not until when i applied for a job in a leading uae airline (where my cousin is also working in the same airline for last 12 years with off course with his refrence) he forward my cv to his manager, after looking my cv his manger told him first of all never mention your location as you are out side uae especially in pakistan or in india they wont even consider your cv, what it means is that they won't call you for interview if you are outside uae or ksa.
so it would be best to go there on visit visa and apply for jobs there, and you will get a descent job.
in case of saudi arabia you have to get a azad visa before you go there, lots of my brother friends have gone there in last two years and they were successful in getting a job in ksa but in riyad.
so don't get demoralise just give it try..

Thats even got Human Right issue. But still our working class people travel to these countries leave loved ones behind.... I can understand for the Elite class and Politicians Dubai it's is like a money making machine, turning black into white like our Pres.

OP best of luck and do update people who sincerely advised you here, about your experiences. GL

    Unhappy

I am preferring overseas jobs only because of the worst law and order situation in Pakistan and other crisis. There is no electricity, no water, no fuel, record high inflation. Corruption in Pakistan is now considered a way of life. Even if someone gets a job of 200k, he isn't safe.

And for those who are saying that it's better to stay in Pakistan with the loved ones, For your kind information, One's family is more tensed/feared when their husband, father or sons are in Pakistan for earning a livelihood. Minute by minute the fear-mongering news channels doesn't leave a chance of telecasting rapes, murders, suicides, blast, civil unrest, and other melancholy stories to create depression among people. Believe me, Families are more than happy if their "loved ones" are anywhere else in the world.

calm down boy you seems to be little tense. Just pray to Allah for your better future and for our country and city too. There are much good companies are here in karachi. You just need to start your career with an entry level job or internship and don't forget to get your MBA completed meanwhile. Best of luck!

Good news : I received an email from 2 employers and they said come for an interview at this place in Dubai. But I replied that I am located in Karachi, Pakistan and ready for an online interview via Skype/Telephone,.Since then, Haven't received a reply from them

There is no guarantee in getting a Job even if I visit Dubai for a job hunt on a visit visa, It's a 80k risk I guess ?
